Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge #48 - Use Kraft

This Challenge was to use Kraft and had it all planned out until colouring the chair.   Then had to switch about and just use the Kraft for the card.
This image is from The Stamping Boutique and is called  Santa and Audrey

Stock is Gina K, digi paper is from where?   Got put into the wrong file and never could find again to get the original link

Markers are promarkers Spring Lilac, Cool Grey 1, Ice Grey 2, Dusky Pink, Blush, Berry Red, Tan, Cocoa, and a copic BG000.  Need these light colours in the pros.

Took the paper and white stock and cut the oval out and then layered them together with foam tape over the white with the digi on it to frame it in and adhered to the Kraft.

Used some Poinsettias from a friend overseas and bitty bling in the middle of them  Very simple card.

That's it.  Thanks for stopping by and will keep trying to get the comment thing to allow me to say thankyou again automatically.  :)

Yellow and White

Hi all.
Was playing with the dies the other day and this was the result.  Again, not too sure about it, but it does look pretty in real.

Decided to do just yellow and white so did the square base in white, took yellow for the next layer, then white and yellow again.   The top 3 layers have foam tape between them and it still fits in an envelope just fine.  Gotta love it. !!   Do have to get the dies to cut the layer sizes better though so they show just a wee bit more.  Next on yet another Wish list with the border/corner die on the left.  :)

After the fourth layer was cut, took and scored each way to make a diamond backing which does not show up on the screen, as is not scored deeply.  Just did for a bit of effect instead of using the die cut backing.   Next took the Memorybox die cut and put on the left side, the tattered lace corner on the bottom right, and the butterflies in the middle again Memorybox.   A friend came over one day and had that border/corner die.  We spent the afternoon cutting out things we don't have of each others and had the best time.  So you will see some dies that may not be named as cannot remember them.   Great way to see if you will ever use some that may be on a wish list.

The wee rose is from Wild Orchid Crafts that a friend in the UK sent me in a bunch to see what they looked like, and have been using sparingly, so guess should get some.  Some cards just seem to call for them instead of the die cut ones.

As always, the inside matches the front somewhat to finish it off.

Have a super day all, thanks for stopping in and you know any comments are really appreciated.   One day when trying to get the comment form to work I will get a surprise as it will click in.   :)

Flower Girl

This was coloured absolutely months ago and could never decide what to use it for.    Since deciding to downsize and use only certain things, it is becoming much easier to pic and choose.

pink die cuts

Hi All

Another one with the dies again.   This is becoming my go to for cards due to my hands, but absolutely love it.  Dies are so much fun. !!   Let your imagination soar and go for it, (still working on that one but having a good time while learning combos)

The larger dies are Sue Wilson, and was actually cutting samples to play with for cards.  The day after finishing it saw one she posted on her daily post the next day with the same main die set.  The corner ones are Cheery Lynn.  Soft and delicate to finish it off.

Did it in the layers of pink, white, pink and then the dies with mounting tape between the top pink and white layers and the cuts, but really require a thinner tape to make it better.  The 1/8" would be perfect.   Also the dies for the squares would save mega amounts of time, and know exactly which ones are coming to live here as they have 1/8" increments.   Just not for a bit.,  :)

You can see the wee oval on the front is sponged about but no sentiment as usual.   So it is a temporary adhesive so that can use for whom the card fits, unless someone else needs it more than I do.   Then will do to suit them

The inside has white, pink then white again for a message to match.

When finishing this, was thinking that a tone on tone with the better stock would be perfect, so that will come along one day as well.

Have a super day all, thanks for stopping in and you know all comments are so appreciated.
Have to try and get that to stay on the comment thing again,

Oh.  a 5.5 square again.

"Surfin Santa" CAS

Here is the card for the HJC (Holly Jolly Christmas) challenge

It is a super one from the men's line at the Doctor Digi's site

He has some pretty awesome digis.

This is about as CAS as it gets here.

Not pleased with the sponging, but just could not get it the way was wanted, so had to finally go with this.   Yes, the top is light blue, but did not want to come out in the pictures either.

A 5.5 sq card on
Gina K Turquoise Sea
sponged with   Momento - Summer Sky, Dandelion, Tangelo
Tim Holtz - Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass

Markers:   Promarkers:  Oasis, Blush, Mango, Green Shoot, Salmon Pink

Ok,  your turn, see what you can do for a CAS card for Christmas.

Thanks for stopping in and have a super day.     You know as always even if not coming up on the comments that they are very much appreciated.

Pink Roses

This is the card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #106

As  soon as seeing the design had to go to the "sell" pile here and dig out a stamp purchased years ago when thought that card making was something wanted to do.   Not so, but kept it and a bunch bought as this store where we were living that was a liquidation store that the woman brought in mega amounts of stamps.   They were usually about $1.00 - $5.00 tops and that includes large House Mouse ones.   So, as any crafter, put them away just in case.   Especially after seeing the "real" prices.

There may be a few pulled from that pile yet :)

Got out GKD Innocent Pink and ivory, copics, that stamp, Rich Cocoa Momento ink instead of black, lace from a friend overseas, and went to work.   The Resplendent Rectangles is the die set used for this, and did cut the bottom off and added the lace across.   Isn't it dainty, even though a larger one.   Absolutely love it.     Thanks my friend.

The inside is layered with ivory and edged with Tim Holtz Spun Sugar.  And another 5 x 7

There you have it.

Now if anyone can let me in on why the post to go here saying thanks for stopping by and  that all comments are appreciated  will not stay posted, it would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the original design so lets see what you can do with it.
