Golden Bells

Hi All,

Another Challenge for the HJC - Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge.   This week it is white with one other colour.   And the supplier of the stamp chosen was Stitchy Bear Stamps

This time I chose a very simple stamp of just bells.   Thought they could somehow be the star of the show type thing if done right, so here it is.

Decided to take the promarkers to make it the colours wanted, and as you all know switched to some of these due to my hands, so took a few colour swatches to get this combo.   The stock had to compliment it of course in the same hues as per the challenge. so got that in order, took one of the markers to white ribbon, and we were ready to go,

The embossing folders have been on quite the holiday lately, so was time to pull one, and chose an old goodie, the Swiss dots, and then went to the Gold Labels 4 to add the layer and edged again with a matching colour to offset the white theme.

The inside is white edged with the golden again to match and blank until needing a verse for it, then will print off one.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Here is the challenge  if you wish to join us and get a start on cards.

Painting with Distress inks

Hi.

Well the last card put here was using the top portion of a stamp that had been purchased for a specific use and so decided to play about and use it as intended.  The original idea was to sponge in backgrounds but was playing with the two new colours in house here by Tim Holtz and decided to use them with a brush,  water, and a thick watercolour paper.  It is actually too thick to use on a card, so will find some thinner type next time at the art store.

This is the end result, with the image stamped in the Abandoned Coral on the left side of an edged ivory stock layered on black.  The second colour is the Cracked Pistachio.

The next colour was not in stock when we hit that store last month, so maybe by the time we get there next the newest will all be in stock.  Love using these inks.

All stock for this is Gina K and it is a 5 x 7 again.

Enjoy

You can see in the posting below just how much of the stamp was actually used in it.   Not much.    :)

Coral Delight

Sketch 104 in the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hav done these before and find them fun with the right stamp and as soon as the sketch was seen, this new, unused one came to mind.

And the new Abandoned Coral by Tim Holtz.   Absolutely love this colour,  It is amazing in real.

Pulled some turquoise and white stock, matting basics A and B instead of measuring for a change,(These should be at the front of the dies as forget to use.), and all the rest of the things required, then played.

First was to get the layers in place and then play with the top part of the beautiful Magenta stamp which was purchased for a certain type card not done yet.  Then brought out the Memory Box Lovely Tendrils and Leavenworth Butterfly dies, cut and sponged with the Abandoned Coral, added a wee bit of beautiful chiffon ribbon across the middle of the two smaller panel sets before adhering and then adding the die cuts.

The inside has the whole stamp down the left side of a white layer with the edges lightly sponged as well of course all to match the front.
That's it.   Enjoy.

Now if I could learn to sponge these inks with those wee sponges, all would be good.  I keep leaving the circle edges when trying them.  :)

Here is the sketch for you to try and as you can see is the triple layer one.   Come and join in the fun and see what all the DT members have put up on Wednesday when ours all go live.

Hugz.  Have a super day all and thanks for stopping in.

Challenge #45 HJC (Holly Jolly Christmas)

This was to have tree(s) and of course had to find one with a bear.

Cute one from one of the regular sponsors -  Bugaboo

This was done on a green with digi paper from Cuddly Buddly and using the Wonky Squares Dies.  They were offset to give the uneven layering as it was just too completely aligned otherwise.

The colouring was copics for the tree, most of the ornaments and his hat with Promarkers for the bear himself.  Am loving these.  So easy to blend and to use with my hands to use, which makes being able to colour these digis we receive a joy.

He was a whole new colour scheme for me, but like it, so you will see more of this combination.

The wee Poinsettias were from Memory Box.

So come on over to the Holly Jolly Challenge  and show us your Christmas spirit.

And remember, if you really don't have cards to send other than to families, our Smiles for Soldiers and seniors places can always use some.

Rose colour floral

This is a pretty rose colour which for some reason is not as pretty here.   My lighting has changed and not for the better, so have to do something about that.  How do you have two lights using for this burn out at the same time and no bulbs to be found for them?

It is for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Very plain with digital paper from Cuddly Buddly, die cuts and ribbon.

The picture below of the digital has a  butterfly, but did not dare post another card with a butterfly in it another week in a row.,  :)

Not able to think of anything to add to it without ruining it, so left alone.   Not usual one, but works for someone who will be needing a card and does like plainer ones.

Have a super one all.   Thanks for stopping by again.
