Sand and Sky

This is the original sketch

This is for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch 92.  It only had something across the bottom of the card, but those knowing me at all, realize that is "Not Gonna Happen" as the saying goes.

Still think it is bare, but that is probably because the second one of this type done, and the first with Distress Inks.    :)

So Here it is.

Got out the CTMH Daisy White and the Saddle stock, Tim Holtz distress inks and one lonely little Momento dew drop.  (not having all the colours of distress or CTMH and that was the closest to add)

That said,  After cutting with the Basics B spellbinders die, left the stock in the die and started to play with the Vintage Photo ink on the bottom of the card and up more to the right.  Next came the Peanut Brittle from Momento over most of that and above it.

For the sun, took Spiced Marmalade distress, sponged a darker to lighter space more like what was wanted, and added Broken China around and over the rest of the top of the card.    After looking through the distress here, found that could put the Salty Ocean over at the top and edges to add to the colour depth, so played with that.

Next came the stamp.  Have two with palms, played with then both, but the other one has a hammock between the trees, so even if not stamping the water, who hangs a hammock in the middle of nowhere??    Using the palm from the one called Aloha from Gina K, stamped with Momento Black but leaving the bottom off the trees as if coming through the sand, then turned the stamp to use some of the fronds of the tree to make an edge of them across the bottom as if on the fringe of something,    That's it.   Hope you enjoy.  Was actually fun to do.

Here is the  Challenge

Here is the original sketch,    Not too close am I.   ??

Sorry but have had to put on the moderation

Thanks for the beautiful comments, and sorry to have had to do this even until those comments causing it stop.
Just hoping I put the right thing on here for the rest of you to comment.

Thanks.  New post tomorrow so will see if it was done correctly then.  :)

All Occasion Floral

This is the card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #90

Again, not one that am very happy with.  Thinking my mojo went to Hawaii or somewhere out of this winter.

It is Gina K Blue Raspberry stock with paper from her Shabby Spring package from last year.  This was mixed with Close To My Heart Colonial White which had Momento Bahama Blue added to it for a background.

The stamp is one a friend will recognize as it came from here in a package of goodies a couple of years ago, and has gotten lots of use.

Ink was Memento:  Bahama Blue,  Dandelion, Potters Clay and Bamboo Leaves.

Ribbon from a store as usual and the half pearls to finish from Close To My Heart.

That said:  here it is and the sketch below.   Thanks for stopping in again.

Sketch

Last of 2014 cards.

Was going through things to be more organized this year and found this card.  Had made one but not really liking it never added a verse to it or used it.   Is a 5 x 7 and made the reverse as well, but did not finish the front, and may just stamp it.

Used the large die set from Spellbinders and  white from CTMH, Cherry Cobbler from SU.   The die cut sentiment is from a cricut cartridge from CTMH.

Am not a cricut person, but did use a bit at Christmas.  My go to is the dies as you all know, but decided to try and use it.  Thinking it should find a new home though instead of just sitting here on a chair for 95% of the year.

So here it is.   Now it can go away with the unused cards from this year.

This is the reverse.  Did not like the way the words came out as to dies, so hence the blank front on this one.

That's it.  The last of the 2014 cards.
