Sand and Sky

This is the original sketch

This is for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch 92.  It only had something across the bottom of the card, but those knowing me at all, realize that is "Not Gonna Happen" as the saying goes.

Still think it is bare, but that is probably because the second one of this type done, and the first with Distress Inks.    :)

So Here it is.

Got out the CTMH Daisy White and the Saddle stock, Tim Holtz distress inks and one lonely little Momento dew drop.  (not having all the colours of distress or CTMH and that was the closest to add)

That said,  After cutting with the Basics B spellbinders die, left the stock in the die and started to play with the Vintage Photo ink on the bottom of the card and up more to the right.  Next came the Peanut Brittle from Momento over most of that and above it.

For the sun, took Spiced Marmalade distress, sponged a darker to lighter space more like what was wanted, and added Broken China around and over the rest of the top of the card.    After looking through the distress here, found that could put the Salty Ocean over at the top and edges to add to the colour depth, so played with that.

Next came the stamp.  Have two with palms, played with then both, but the other one has a hammock between the trees, so even if not stamping the water, who hangs a hammock in the middle of nowhere??    Using the palm from the one called Aloha from Gina K, stamped with Momento Black but leaving the bottom off the trees as if coming through the sand, then turned the stamp to use some of the fronds of the tree to make an edge of them across the bottom as if on the fringe of something,    That's it.   Hope you enjoy.  Was actually fun to do.

Here is the  Challenge

Here is the original sketch,    Not too close am I.   ??
