In Trouble Again

This adorable guy is from PaintBox Poppets at Crafter's Companion.  There were two that were so cute that had to get them, and never coloured.

Was jumping around on here and found that the Spectrum Noir challenge ending on the weekend was for a boy/masculine card, and seeing as can colour again, dug it out.

"Looking This Good"

Was getting things out to colour some new images and this was in the file already coloured, so immediately thought of the JUGS 229 challenge this week with the bright colours.

She is another digi from Bugaboo, and the saying with her is "Looking This Good Doesn't Come Cheap"   Gotta love it.

Just a fun card.   Enjoy.

Card using Balloon Ride paper

When this order came in, had to immediately play with this paper package and see what could be done with it.    This is such a beautiful package, with the best colours have seen in one for a long time from anywhere.
So. took a piece of the designer paper and cut this one balloon out of it, then went to work.

Of course used Gina K ivory base weight stock, then a piece of Close To My Heart paper from the same package.  This paper is kind of a marbelized effect look and is absolutely gorgeous, but hiding on this card.  Just wanted the colour here.

Thought something besides just plain baking was called for, so went through the samples of the embossing folders deciding on this beautiful cloud one from Darice.  Embossed the Sky stock from Close To My Heart, then went to the ribbon stash.   This is a Cream grosgrain that was Elan, and played until getting the look wanted.  Added another layer of the beautiful rusty colour paper, then Sky stock again to accent the colours in the balloon piece.

That's it pretty simple, but loved the finished look.    Do you believe it.  No die cuts,  No flowers, No colouring.    Whew !!

Atlantic Hearts Challenge 44

This card ended up nothing like the design drawn, but like it.   Simple,

Recipe
Gina K stock for the card
Momenta Designer Paper

Close To My Heart White for the layer
Close To My Heart flowers, both kinds
Ribbon from Elan, from the material store.   Get lots there as can see what am purchasing and but the amount wanted at that time.
Of course my trusty tape, glue gun and a punch for the edging came into play as well.   Love to glue the items on as have had many come off with just the sticky on the back, no matter who from, just to make sure they are still there when the card is received.  And, to hold the bow so that it does not move in any way

Romantic Card

This is another card using the two larger dies from the Marianne Die Set LRO229 and of course a digital from Cuddly Buddly, that have had and used before.

This makes for such a cute card for wedding, or anniversary.   Used it for a card to post  for Valentines here, and everyone liked it.    Now sharing with you all
The stock is CTMH white, and an SU colour that have absolutely no idea what it is.  Got a few sheets of some colours from a friend and cannot remember what it was.

The bears are coloured with copics  and in the greys instead of a honey colour for a change.

This iw a 5 x 5 card with the colour and white over inside for a message.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch 43

Went with all Close To My Heart products here except the dies.
This is made with white stock, then took a piece of Sweet Leaf stock, ran it through with an embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts of the branches.   Next took my sets of Card Matting Basics A and B and made the Buttercup and White pieces for the middle.  After adhering thes to the green, put it all on the white, then did the flowers.
The dies for these are a set of three by Dee's Distinctively, and thinking for larger cards, as cut the top off the stem piece.  :)
Stock used for the stem was Olive, Topiary for the leaves, and Cotton Candy for the flower petals.  This was sponged with Cotton Candy Ink,  Then they were all put together on the card.

Enjoy.

Here is the original sketch for this and the challenge

Pretty in Pink

This is for a Marianne Design Divas challenge to use at least three dies and pink for this past month.

Since my new dies came in a hurry used some of them.

The card is from Close To My Heart White and Bazzill pink, |(lots in house and have no idea which one, sorry about that )

Dies :Marianne Dies   LRO 299. LRO237, LRO238 and LRO298

The wine glasses, the plain band and the bird's wings all have glitter ritz on them, and the stones in the other ring are the wee bitty blings from CTMH that are used so often here.

Took the tiny beautiful heart from the LRO299 and cut in half to make the bottom corners as it just needed something else.   Hope you like it.

Birthday Card

This card is one from the Cloud Nine kit that Close To My Heart had out in January.   Loved it and so had to get it.  To those of you who did not, you lost out on a huge bargain.  The kit was less than the stamp set usually sells for.   Jeanette has some absolutely wonderful things put out every so often.  This month, you get an embossing folder free with two packages of mixed or single coloured stocks, except the white and ivory.   Had to get one of course.

These colours are turquoise, but spent hours trying to get the glitter tape to photograph the right colour.  Finally had to give up.  Did not matter in what light, what setting on the camera or anything, always came out this colour or more blue.
The stock used here are Honey and Lagoon, with the double sided patterned paper, so enjoy.

Used to never do a kit, but now get them, do one of each for examples, and then "play" with the rest of the kit ingredients with other designs and cards.  Makes for a really reasonable and fun way to do different cards.

AHSC 42

This card was done with my new Gina K products back in house again.  Gotta love it.

The design was opposite as the pattern was on the top.  That's ok.

Gina K Wild Lilac Stock, party hoot paper, and stamp from the Springtime Silhouettes Stamp TV set.

Used Memento ink in Grape Jelly and Bamboo.  and  You cannot see it, but used glitterritz on the flower, and for some reason could not get it to show properly.  As usual, better in real.

The ribbons are from the huge stash that lives here
The Glitter, again my favourite from Close To My Heart,  Bitty Blings.

Enjoy.

Here is the original drawing the the challenge

cupcakes to go

If you notice, this is the same design as the bicycle one.   Have no idea why.  When making the cards, the finished ones are put in one container and enveloped, but was playing around with the papers and thought, "this will work"   Was completely surprised when putting it away, and had two cards the same.  Don't think this has ever happened unless someone asked for a remake.   :)

Recipe:
Stock:  Gina K Sweet Mango, Sweet Corn, Jelly Bean Green, White Base Weight
DP:  Gina k Birthday Hoot package
Cupcake:  from an old package by MS
Glitter strip:  cut from CTMH glitter tape to be thin
Embossing folder :  Life creations
Tombo Glue
Red Sticky Tape

Inside the card is layered with sweet mango and then layering white with sentiment stamped in sweet mango

Enjoy, am off to make cards.  Just did a list of challenges that look interesting, so
''off to work I go"

Bicycle card with an actual sentiment on the front, :)

Got this stamp from Gina K and had to use it as thought it was so cute.   Always wanted one, but not in a set of 8 other ones that would not get used.

Took Jelly Bean Green, and then paper from the birthday hoot package of designer paper, combined with the white.  Popped the white with the bicycle on it and that was done.   Simple, but fun.

Wee half pearls in the corner are actually a sandy grey colour from Close To My Heart.

Thought it was a fun card for just to have on hand.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch 41

This is really a CAS card for me.   Was wanting to use this new embossing folder and so worked around it.  It was a new one from Lifestyle Crafts, and really liked the design.  Dies are so much more in this house, but have been getting a few new embossing ones.

And.  We now have them in the new Close To My Heart Catalogue.  Yes. !!.

For this card, besides the embossing folder.

Stock is all Gina K Designs
Dark Chocolate
Ivory
Bubblegum Pink

Die is an old Sizzix one of leaves and just cut to make what ended up with.
Bling of course is the most favourite product here, CTMH  Bitty Bling.   Love those wee things.

Of course the inside as usual has colours in it and the ivory to write or stamp on.

Hope you like this simple one.
