Baking day.

Had a ball today doing the next best thing to making cards.  Baking!!  Baked until about after midnight last night, then all day today.  Got lots done for one of the Christmas dinners tomorrow, so can really enjoy it now.  Love to bake, but don't do it as often as wished.  This gives me a reason to make things and enjoy myself.  Things that were baked in previous years were decided not to make this year,  but instead there are pies, tarts, cupcakes, another fruit cake and peppermint chip brownies.  Some for everyone to take something home.   And found a yule log that is chocolate and vanilla ice cream for someone who is picky, but am sure he won't be the only one into it.   Gotta love it.

Have a good one all.  Back maybe Monday.

getting back to cards, and have wonderful season.

Found some new sites with what looks like neat challenges, so going to try and do them and actually post where the cards are entered on the blog entries like below.  Have never done that, just posted to them.

Maybe this not being able to do them much since the spring has been good for me.  Gave me time in the last while to check out sites and blogs that would never have found as concentrating too much on a couple of areas.   This should help immensely.

Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things like in 2011 and hoping for a much better year in card making at least.  Especially, now that things in this new living area seem to be as settled as they will be, and keeping most of the supplies within a central area instead of throughout the whole place.  :)

To all of you who have hung in there with me over this past period of time both here after losing the original blog, and on the lines on, thankyou !!   Helped to know you were there.

And as a neighbour here says

"May the best in 2012 be your worst in 2013.

As well hope all have a wonderful Christmas Season

Will be posting and making cards over the season for sure.

completely dry embossed card

This wee deer is a first.  Not too sure how many of this type will do, but it was fun

Embossing folder:  Lasting Impressions
DP: Lasting Inpressions.
The "cozy" sentiment is embossed and then coloured over with the clear spica pen.  Again, it looks better in real.

This is one of the loads put through on the weekend. Must have done 50-60 dies in three loads. Absolutely the way to go for anyone with bad hands, and time constraints. No tacky junk, ripping tiny pieces trying to get off it, and no cartridges. Used some of the Marianne dies never used, and some of the new spellbinders sets that have the larger dies in them. Hated my big shot, and expression, but love this. I have bad hands, and some days using the much loved cuttlebug is just not an option, so this will make a lot of difference in my card making. Actually will have some pre cut pieces to try now.

slow at posting.

Am very behind in the cards because a while ago moved the table to in front of a large window.  Only problem is that it was sunny then, so great.  Now that winter is here, it is dark in this whole place, requiring lights on all over all day and the only light here is the one for my card making at this table.  So.  Not too good when marker colours and stock colours don't actually come through.  Going to get someone to help put it back under a light and leave it there even though it makes this small place even smaller.  !!.   Cards not being done, is not what is wanted..
So it is either move this or stand up and do cards in the kitchen.  Nope,  don't think that is going to happen.   :)

Have a good day all.
